The
name of this neighborhood comes from the
Recoletos Convent.Today it combines sophistication
of an aera with a very rich cultural and
historical heritage. It was remodeled in
1880 and it turned out with its magnificient
residencies and the beauty of its green
spaces, in one of the most refined places
of the city. The church Nuestra Señora
del Pilar, the aristoratic cemetery, The
Recoleta cultural center, The palais de

Buenos

PLAZA
DE MAYO
This
was the first porteño neighborhood,
the city developed around it, the present
Plaza de Mayo, historical scenario of protest
and political demonstrations is surrounded
by the Casa Rosada, which is the seat of the
National Governemt, The Cabildo that was the
seat of the colonial government and the Metropolitan
Catedral. Its final outline was acquired towards
the end odf the 1880, Diagonal Norte and Diagonal
Sur stat here as well as Avenuida de MAyo,
thaht links the seat of the Government House
with the National Congress. It was the great
facade of the city marked the beginning of
the portela cultural life. Ids sidewalk are
flanked by old plane trees and cafes, it still
keeps the memory of the wealthy Argentina
of the end of the XiX century. The area Catedral
al Sur is one the one that streches between
Plaza de MAyo and San Telmo. There you can
see peculiar passages, XVIII century churches
and convents, also this part holds the best
tango shows and modern music perfomances,
some of them with dancing and dinner inclusive.

An
important city center that owes its name to
the creator of the Argentina Flag. Provisional
seat of the National Government in 1880, it
offers the splendid green of its gullies,
museums and huge buildings. There are three
belgranos in one. The residencial Belgrano
on both sides of Cabildo Avenue, its main
artery, and the low belgrao with its exotic
neighborhood and a vast and interesting residentia
development towards the river.

TELMO
This
neighborhood still holds the charming of the
colonial past. The yellow fever epidemic made
its aristocratic inhabitants feld to the northern
part of the city. Even today one is able to
see its narrow and cobbled streets, colonial
houses with grating, and patios with reservoir,
beautiful recycled houses from the XIX and
XX centuries, that were turnedin to restaurants

LA
BOCA
Is
the neighborhood that summarizes the history
of the first inmigrations who arrived to the
country. It is also the area where the passion
for the tango developed. The name derives
from the outlet of the small waterway called
Ricahuelo that flows into the Rio de la PLata.
La Boca still holds the memory of its past
in their typical houses made of plate and
wood painted with the remaining pigments of
the ships, its mithycal museum street called
Caminito, turns this area into a pictoresque
block with old houses.

/ ZONA NORTE
Tigre
city is located in the north side of Greater
Buenos Aires, to 28 km of the Capital. The
city is bordered by the Delta of Paraná
or Delta of Tigre , a great area of natural
islands with important attractive touristic
and weekend attractions, easily reached with
bus and train connections from Buenos Aires
Down Town, including the Train de la Costa.
